The WRG will decide the top roller athletes from the sport’s 11 diverse disciplines, including Alpine, artistic, roller freestyle, downhill, inline freestyle, inline hockey, roller hockey, roller derby, scooter, speed and skateboarding. The Barcelona championships will be particularly significant for the latter sport as the competitions will also be the classification rounds for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Barcelona is roller territory and this is why it has been chosen to host the event, with competitions being held at a number of iconic venues, including the Palau Sant Jordi and the Olympic Ring, as well as other subsites.

The aim is to open up this major world event to the community as a whole so they can enjoy it as spectators or by joining in some of the many activities and experiences organised around Roller Land.
